The battery charger allows you to recharge a battery bank much faster and completely from the alternator.
Its assembly is simple and some models provide voltage conversions.

The battery charger allows to quickly and completely recharge a service fleet from the alternator. It is easy to install and some models provide voltage conversions. The battery to battery charger is a product that has become increasingly popular in recent years, with Sterling's range, which is by far the most comprehensive on the market, expanding considerably to meet this growing demand. Like the alternator charger, it ensures optimal charging of service batteries from the alternator and is very easy to install.
Some models provide voltage conversion, so it is possible to recharge a 24 V battery such as the bow thruster from a 12 V alternator or recharge a 12 V service battery directly from a 24 V alternator.
Also note that battery to battery chargers allow for current limiting, this feature is useful to respect the charging constraints of Lithium batteries or to limit the alternator's power output and preserve it from premature wear.
This new model also allows:
- To reduce the charging voltage of some alternators (with charging voltage higher than 14V) and to have an adapted maintenance phase.
- To ensure the recharge for vehicles equipped with regenerative brakes (Euro 6 standards).

| The battery charger is connected in the same way as a relay. It allows the efficient charging of the connected battery bank from the alternator. The current entering the battery bank is limited by the nominal value of the device. This new model has the same characteristics as the previous range in a more compact housing. Compared to the previous generation, it incorporates the possibility of reducing the charging voltage independently of the alternator voltage (some current alternators have a charging voltage that is too high to ensure the recharging (especially during maintenance) of the service batteries. It is compatible with the Euro 6 standard (regenerative brakes) and is easy to install even in this case. |
