On a sailing yacht, power consumption is higher than at anchor, as the electronic equipment is switched on. The average consumption of a 12-meter cruiser under sail is around 150 - 200 Ah when the pilot is in use, whereas at anchor it will be two to three times less.
In 2020, we launched our hydrogenerator, which is capable of compensating for on-board consumption and even recharging the batteries as soon as the boat is under sail. This hydrogenerator is equipped with a particularly high-performance low-speed industrial motor that will generate electricity at speeds as low as 3 knots. The drag generated, which is proportional to the power produced, is negligible. Its mounting system makes it adaptable to any type of boat, and the innovative lifting mechanism enables it to be changed position even while underway.
