This waterproof relay is fully automatic and does not require a control signal to switch off. As soon as the voltage of the engine battery reaches 13.3V, the relay will switch on and connect the starter battery and the service battery. Similarly, as soon as the voltage of the engine battery drops below 12.9V, the relay will decouple the two batteries as long as it means that the engine is stopped.

This more advanced relay has the advantage of being easier to install than a relay with a control signal
