This waterproof relay is fully automatic and does not require a control signal to activate. As soon as the motor battery voltage reaches 13.3V, the relay will activate and couple the starting battery and the service battery. Similarly, as soon as the engine battery voltage drops below 13V, the relay will decouple the two batteries as this means that the engine is stopped.
This more advanced relay has the advantage of being easier to install than a control signal relay.
This relay is suitable for AGM, GEL and Lithium batteries requiring higher decoupling voltages (around 13V) and requiring an adjustment of the thresholds.
Power | 12V or 24V (automatic detection) / 240A |
---|---|
Dimensions | 140*200*40 mm |
Weight | 0.250 kg |
Waterproofing | IP68 with gold-plated connector to support the rated load. |
Triggering | Switches on automatically depending on the motor battery voltage. |
Start-up protection | The relay is deactivated when the motor is started to avoid any damage |
Switching voltage | 13.3V (factory setting) |
Decoupling voltage | 13V (factory setting) |
Parameterizable voltage | Yes, adjustable between 11V and 15V for coupling and 10.5V and 14.7V for decoupling |
Directional control | Preset as bidirectional activation. That is, if either the second battery or the first battery reaches the required trigger voltage, the unit will operate, however, there are times when the system wants the unit to be activated from the first battery but not activated from the secondary battery, this is called unidirectional, this relay can do it. |
To determine which relay is best suited for your installation and size it correctly, you can consult the associated product sheet.
