The battery to battery charger enables you to recharge a battery bank from the alternator much more quickly and completely.
It's easy to install, and some models offer voltage conversion.

The battery-to-battery charger enables a service fleet to be rapidly and completely recharged from the alternator. It's easy to install, and some models offer voltage conversion. The battery-to-battery charger is a product that has become increasingly popular in recent years, and the Sterling range, by far the most comprehensive on the market, has expanded considerably to meet this growing demand. Like the alternator charger, it guarantees optimum charging of service batteries from the alternator, and is very easy to install.
Some models offer voltage conversion, so you can recharge a 24 V battery such as the bow thruster from a 12 V alternator, or recharge a 12 V service battery directly from a 24 V alternator.
It's also worth noting that battery-to-battery chargers can be used to limit the current, a useful feature for complying with the charging constraints of Lithium batteries, or to limit the alternator's power output and protect it from premature wear and tear.

The current entering the battery bank is limited by the nominal value of the device. This new model incorporates the features of the previous range in a more compact housing. Compared with the previous generation, it incorporates the option of reducing the charging voltage independently of the alternator voltage (some current alternators have a charging voltage too high to ensure recharging (particularly during maintenance) of service batteries). It is compatible with the Euro 6 standard (regenerative brakes) and is easy to install even in this case. |
