Sterling's new microprocessor-controlledcharge splitter allows multiple battery banks (up to three) to be charged from the alternator intelligently and with maximum efficiency . This unique microprocessor-controlled product has unmatched efficiency (voltage drop is 0.01V maximum) and offers many additional features compared to conventional models
|Function||Load sharing without voltage drop.
Load priority management.
|Maximum input current||100 A|
|Voltage drop||0,01 V Maxi|
|Number of inputs||1|
|Number of outputs||3|
|Charging priority||Yes (for the engine battery).|
|Alternator fault management||Yes (isolation of battery banks in case of too low or too high alternator voltage)|
|Battery priority management||In case of an important current call on one of the outputs, the whole power is redirected to this one.|
|Diagnostic interface||Operating information LED|
|Electrical protections||Reverse polarity battery and solar panels / Solar panel overproduction / Temperature / Short circuit panel input and consumer output|
The internal voltage drop does not exceed 0.01Volts even at full power (the Mofset technology often used for "lossless" load balancers induces a voltage drop of up to 0.6V at full power)
This balancer offers additional safety by protecting the batteries in case of alternator failure. If the alternator fails and delivers too high a voltage, it is automatically disconnected from the batteries to protect them.
In addition, an alarm warns of this situation. When current is drawn from one of the batteries (e.g. when the windlass is used), all the alternator current is directed to this battery.
The priority for recharging is given to the starting battery. Other features such as low charge alarm are also available.
