Many boats and specialized vehicles have different battery banks. This type of installation is problematic if the batteries used in each bank are of different technologies or different voltages.

This diversity poses a problem for most battery chargers, which are only set up for one type of battery. The usual method is to set the charger to the lowest voltage. This setting is not satisfactory because each type of battery has a different charge cycle. Charging at too low a voltage reduces charging performance.

The Intermediate Battery Charger uses the charger's current and changes the voltages to match the charge curves of different batteries. The output voltage is independent of the input voltage.

9 types of batteries are configurable, including lithium.
