Newmax Gel Batteries:

NEWMAX gel batteries are generally best suited for use as service batteries, thanks to their gelled electrolyte and thick electrodes, they withstand an impressive number of charge/discharge cycles and their full rated capacity is available.

  • EXCEPTIONAL CYCLING PERFORMANCE: 500 100% discharge cycles. High density anti-corrosive lead calcium electrodes are used in harmony with gelled electrolyte to prevent sulfation.

  • MAINTENANCE-FREE: Thanks to their gas recombination system, NEWMAX batteries do not require any maintenance during their entire life.

  • COMPLETELY WATERTIGHT: The gelled electrolyte prevents any risk of leakage even when the battery is held upside down.

  • SAFETY: The safety valve prevents any gas release.

  • HYBRID TECHNOLOGY WITH GLASS FIBER SEPARATOR : Allows better performance in charging speed and fast discharge.

  • GREATLY LIMITED RISK OF SULFATATION: A major advantage of gel batteries is the possibility of leaving the battery discharged for a short period of time without causing irreversible damage (risk of sulfation greatly reduced). Since the main cause of wear and tear of on-board batteries is related to sulfation, this point is decisive in the choice of on-board batteries.

Gel electrolyte - VRLA

The gel technology used for NEWMAX batteries allows to reduce significantly the phenomenon of sulphation which is the main cause of battery wear.
NEWMAX gel batteries also use the VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) technology which ensures a recombination of gases during the recharge of the battery (no need for maintenance) while ensuring safety in case of overcharge due to a failure of a charging device. No maintenance is required during the life of the battery.

Self-discharge

Thanks to the quality of construction and the purity of the materials used, the self-discharge of NEWMAX gel batteries is very limited. At 25 degrees, the characteristic discharge rate is limited to 2% per month.
