The main cause of failure on a boat alternator is wiring problems or unintentional disconnection of the charging circuit that abruptly disconnect the alternator from the batteries when the engine is running, which may be due to an unclear connection at a terminal, a problematic fuse or a circuit breaker operating error. This is usually fatal to the alternator regulator if it is not protected.
The alternator protection box allows the electric arc generated in these conditions to discharge through it, protecting the alternator from any problem.
|Desired effect||Protection of the alternator, is wired in parallel to it to absorb the electric arc from unintentional cuts.|
|Other Other||Compatible with all types of alternators and load distribution systems|
