Solar controller and monitor

The installation of a regulator associated with solar panels or a wind turbine is necessary to ensure optimal charging of the batteries and protect them from overcharging. All controllers available have a three-phase charging cycle (recommended for effective charging of service batteries) with temperature compensation.

Note the new generation of MPPT solar controllers which, in addition to protecting the battery, increase the production of solar panels by 10 to 30% (depending on the battery voltage and panel type) compared to a conventional controller. These regulators are clearly of interest on a boat where space is limited.
