Communications make it possible both to receive useful information for safety at sea (weather information bulletin, position of surrounding vessels) and to communicate (internet and voice) from the boat.
The range below is now available:
Iridium: This global satellite system allows both to receive and send data (mel) from anywhere on the planet and to use traditional voice communications. It is certainly the most popular communication system among boaters.
AIS receivers: They provide accurate visibility on the movement of ships over 300 tons and those carrying passengers. In this way, they prevent the risk of collision.
Wifi: Wifi is useful to access the internet once the boat is in port.
